Biography
John F. Black is a Republican state representative serving Missouri's District 129 in the Missouri House of Representatives since 2023. Previously, he represented District 137 from 2019 to 2023. Born in 1952 in Springfield, Missouri, he resides in Marshfield with his wife Cynthia and their six children. He is a Christian and active in community organizations, including the Marshfield Optimist Club and Marshfield United Methodist Church. Notable committee roles include Budget, Ethics, Judiciary, Utilities, and Subcommittee on Appropriations for Health, Mental Health, and Social Services; he has also served as Vice-Chair of the Higher Education Committee since 2019.

- Education: Graduated with degrees in Chemical Engineering/Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology; JD from University of Missouri at Columbia.
