Joel McEntire is a Republican state representative for Washington's 19th Legislative District, which includes parts of Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Pacific, Wahkiakum, and Thurston counties. Born in 1987 and raised in Cathlamet, he was first elected in 2020 and is currently serving his second term, with a focus on protecting Southwest Washington's fishing, farming, and forestry industries, reducing the cost of living, improving community safety, addressing affordable housing, and ensuring equitable education. A U.S. Marine Corps reservist, husband, and father of three, he works as a Program Mentor for Western Governors University and enjoys coaching middle school chess and hiking Mount St. Helens.
