Joseph "Joe" Zullo is a Republican member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 99, which covers part of East Haven. He has served since winning a special election on February 26, 2019, and was re-elected in 2020, 2022, 2024, and is serving his third term as of 2026. An attorney and partner in the family law firm Zullo, Zullo, and Jacks in East Haven, he has been Town Attorney for East Haven since 2011. Zullo lives in East Haven and is known for advocating property-tax relief, public safety, small businesses, government accountability, and small-town issues. Notable achievements include being named Ranking Member of the Planning and Development Committee in 2023, serving as Assistant Leader of the House Republican Caucus, and receiving the “Town Crier Award” from the Connecticut Council of Small Towns. He also serves on the Housing Committee and Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee, and has been an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University since 2022. Community involvement includes the East Haven Chamber of Commerce Board, Fall Festival Committee, 5K Road Race Committee, and middle school PTA/PTO.
