Biography
Joe Webster is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 150th District. Elected in 2018 after defeating Republican Nick Fountain with 56% of the vote to replace retiring Republican Michael Corr, he serves on the Appropriations, Finance, State Government, and Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness committees. Part of the first generation in his Philadelphia family to attend college, Webster was appointed to the Air Force Academy, where he served as an Assistant Professor teaching Speech Communications, Executive Writing, and Western Civilizations/Values. He later worked in information technologies and as a Professor of National Security Strategy for the Air University in Montgomery, AL. He resides on the banks of the Perkiomen Creek in Collegeville with his wife, Laura Winslow, and they have three adult children: Ben, Eddie, and Monica Rose. His legislative priorities include strong public schools, affordable healthcare, reproductive rights, environmental protection, gun violence prevention, fair elections, and infrastructure investment.
