Biography
Joe Polletta is a Republican state representative serving Connecticut's 68th Assembly District, which includes Watertown, Oakville, and Waterbury. A lifelong resident of Oakville, he was first elected in a 2017 special election, re-elected in 2018, and secured a fifth term in November 2024. Previously a Democrat in 2014, he switched to the Republican Party in 2015, citing alignment with conservative beliefs. He owns a local small business, served on the Watertown Town Council focusing on economic development and town maintenance, coaches a local baseball team, and is active in Crimestoppers and the Cercemaggiore Community Club.
