Biography
Joseph G. Pavlov is a Republican representative for Michigan's 64th House District, serving since January 2025. A lifelong resident of Michigan's Blue Water Area, he resides in Smiths Creek with his wife Marilynn, married over 50 years; they have five children and 18 grandchildren. He is a retired high school teacher from Kimball Township, a parishioner at St. Christopher Catholic Church, and has held leadership roles in the Knights of Columbus. Pavlov served 12 years as president of Right to Life of St. Clair County and is a life member of the National Rifle Association. In 2024, he won the Republican primary against several challengers and the general election against Democrat John Anter by 61% to 39%. Notable positions include strong advocacy for rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness; he serves on the House Agriculture, Education and Workforce, Election Integrity, and Families and Veterans Committees. He has supported bills like HB 4486 to protect natural gas use, HB 4929 on licensing, and HB 4039 for regulatory reduction.
