Biography

Joe McAndrew is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 32nd district in Allegheny County, which includes Penn Hills, Oakmont, Verona, and part of Plum. Born around 1990 in Allegheny County, he was elected in a special election on February 7, 2023, following the death of former Representative Tony DeLuca, defeating Republican Clayton Walker; he was sworn in on February 21, 2023, and currently serves his first term. Notable achievements include his 2024 Democratic primary victory over Penn Hills Mayor Pauline Calabrese and appointment as chair of the House Subcommittee on Public Transportation in February 2024.
