Biography

Joe Hogan is a Republican state representative serving Pennsylvania's 142nd Legislative District in Bucks County since 2023, covering areas including Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor Borough, Lower Southampton Township, and Penndel Borough. A native of Levittown, he grew up in a blue-collar family and lives in Langhorne with his wife Janita and daughter Asha. Hogan supports fracking to lower energy costs, identifies as pro-life , and has focused on public safety, school funding, mental health, substance abuse, crime prevention, and protecting seniors from scams.

Notable achievements include securing record funding for Council Rock and Neshaminy public schools via the state's new funding formula, enacting five bills on public safety and women's health, authoring legislation for tax credits on youth sports expenses, increased penalties for gun store robberies, and awareness resolutions for Ovarian Cancer and Epilepsy, plus distributing over $1 million in COVID-19 relief grants to businesses. He serves on committees including Children & Youth , Consumer Protection, Technology & Utilities , Gaming Oversight, and Human Services, and is a member of the National Task Force on State AI Policy.

Education and Political Experience

Hogan attended Conwell-Egan Catholic High School, earned a master’s degree in community and economic development from Penn State University, and a law degree from Temple’s Beasley School of Law. His experience includes working on former Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick’s staff, serving as program director for the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority , and as Penndel Borough Council vice president where he cut property taxes and revitalized Business Route 1. He was a founding member of a local Lions Club chapter. Elected in 2022 by a narrow 76-vote margin over Democrat Mark Moffa after the seat opened due to Frank Farry's Senate run, Hogan faced challenger Anna Payne in 2024.
