Biography
Joe Dalia
Joseph John Dalia was born in 1991 in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a Democratic member of the Nevada Assembly, representing District 29 in Clark County . Dalia was first elected to the Assembly in November 2024 and began his legislative service in 2025.
Before his political career, Dalia worked as an attorney, specializing in privacy law. He held positions with numerous Silicon Valley companies, most recently serving as a privacy attorney for Meta Platforms. He is a member of both the State Bar of Nevada and the State Bar of California.
Dalia is married to Marina Dalia-Hunt and has three children: Vivian, Audrey, and Sloane. His personal interests include bowling, fitness, and writing.
Education
Dalia earned a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Boston University in 2013, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He continued his legal education at the University of Michigan Law School, where he earned his J.D. in 2017, also graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was recognized as a Russell Lee Rua Scholar at the University of Michigan.
Additionally, Dalia completed a Certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University School of Engineering in 2023.
Political Experience and Notable Achievements
In the Nevada Assembly, Dalia serves on several committees: Education; Health and Human Services; Judiciary; and Assembly Public Safety and Security. During the 2025 legislative session, he participated in one regular session as a new member.
Dalia has been recognized for his professional contributions, including receiving a Pro Bono Service Award from Legal Aid of Southern Nevada in 2023 for his volunteer legal work.
