Biography
Joe Alexander Jr.
Joseph 'Joe' Alexander Jr. is a Republican politician serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He represents District Hillsborough 29 and has been a member of the state legislature since 2018. Alexander is currently the Deputy Majority Floor Leader in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, a position he has held since 2023.
He is single with no children and currently resides in Goffstown, New Hampshire. Beyond his legislative work, Alexander has served as a member of the Goffstown Budget Committee and has worked as a server at 99 Restaurant and Pub since 2013.
Education
Alexander earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Saint Anselm College between 2013 and 2017. He is currently pursuing graduate studies in public policy at the Carsey School for Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire, where he is working toward a Master of Public Policy degree.
Political Experience
Alexander's legislative career began in 2018 when he was first elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, initially representing District Hillsborough 6. He was reelected and redistricted to represent District Hillsborough 29 in 2022.
His current committee assignments include serving as Chair of the House Committee on Housing and membership on the House Special Committee on the Family Division of the Circuit Court. Beyond his legislative work, he served as Chair and Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Federation of College Republicans from 2015 onward, demonstrating early engagement in Republican Party activism.
