Biography
Joanne Stehr is a Republican Pennsylvania State Representative for the 107th Legislative District, which includes parts of Northumberland and Schuylkill counties. Elected in November 2022, she is the first woman to represent Schuylkill County and the 107th District. A lifelong Schuylkill County resident, she is a mother of two sons, Eli and Beau, and has volunteered extensively, including at her local food pantry and as chair of the Hegins Zoning and Planning Committee. Her priorities include economic restoration, small business support, tax reform, agriculture, veterans, health, seniors, legislative term limits, protecting children, gun rights, and conservative values. For the 2025-26 session, she serves on the Aging and Older Adult Services, Communications and Technology, Health, Liquor Control, and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committees.
Education and Political Experience
Stehr graduated from Tri-Valley High School and attended night school at Schuylkill Area Vocational Technical School, earning her license as a practical nurse. She has 30 years of experience as a home health care and hospice nurse and worked as a client relationship executive for home health services. This is her first elected office, following her 2022 victory in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
