James E. Thorne
James E. Thorne is an American politician and Republican member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing House District 35. Born in Portland, Maine, he resides in Carmel with his spouse Suzanne and has two children.
Thorne's professional background is diverse. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 2003, where he worked as a logistics officer and recruiter. Following his military retirement, he transitioned to civilian work, serving as an advertising sales manager at Northwoods Sporting Journal and establishing himself as a Registered Maine Guide. He maintains active affiliations with the American Legion, Elks, NRA, VFW, and other community organizations.
Political Experience
