Biography
James B. Struzzi II is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 62nd Legislative District, which serves parts of Indiana County. He has held this position since December 1, 2018, and is currently in his fourth term of service. For the 2025-26 legislative session, Struzzi was elected Chairman of the House Republican Appropriations Committee.
Struzzi is a father of four school-aged children and has written several children's books, including The Christmas Secret and Jacob's Haunting, young adult novels set in Indiana County that emphasize themes of family, morality, and courage.
Education and Political Experience
Struzzi's career in public service spans multiple sectors. He worked as a journalist before transitioning to government roles. In 1999, he began working for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a community relations coordinator in District 10, later advancing to assistant press secretary for the Pittsburgh region of District 11.
In 2013, Struzzi resigned from PennDOT to become president of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce, succeeding Dana Henry in that role. He announced his candidacy for the state house in February 2018 and was elected to represent District 62.
