Representative Jim Piwowarczyk

Jim Piwowarczyk is a Republican representative serving Wisconsin's 98th Assembly District. He is 53 years old and a lifelong resident of the Town of Erin in Washington County. He was raised by his father, who served as the Washington County auditor, and his mother, a nurse.

Piwowarczyk is married to Sue, and together they raised three children—Jenna, Luke, and Summer—in the Town of Erin. The family also includes their German Shepherd, Chief. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, and CCW permit holder who currently serves as a high school snowboard racing coach and previously coached youth basketball and football in Hartford and Lake Country.

Political Experience and Career

Piwowarczyk brings nearly 20 years of combined law enforcement experience to his role. He served as a patrol sergeant with the Glendale Police Department and as a police officer with the Kewaskum Police Department, where he worked as a field training officer and crime investigator.

After leaving law enforcement, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, pursuing real estate investments, developing fitness clubs, and founding a real estate brokerage. He co-founded Wisconsin Right Now, a conservative news organization, and has served as a host and regular guest on WISN-1130 AM, a conservative talk radio station.

Political Positions and Priorities

As a state representative, Piwowarczyk has focused on conservative priorities including law and order, parental rights, Second Amendment protections, lower taxes, and criminal accountability. He advocates for border security, police funding, and inflation control, positioning himself against what he describes as indoctrination in education and excessive regulatory burdens on business.

He serves on the Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice, reflecting his law enforcement background.
