Jim Masland is a Democratic representative for Windsor-Orange-2 in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 1999.
James W. "Jim" Masland, born December 7, 1948, in Hanover, New Hampshire, has resided in Thetford, Vermont, since 1979. A work-based learning consultant and builder, he is married to Suzanne, with whom he has five daughters, two sons, seven grandchildren, and a blended family of seven children. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means and the Board of Trustees of Vermont State Colleges Corporation, and is involved in organizations like Upper Valley Habitat for Humanity , Two Rivers Ottauquechee Regional Planning Commission, ECFiber Executive Committee, and Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation. Notable achievements include 12 years on the Thetford Selectboard, presidency of the Vermont League of Cities and Towns , VISTA Volunteer service , and participation in the Vermont Leadership Institute . His Christian faith and community work, including affordable housing and workforce development, highlight his long-term public service.
