Biography
Senator Jim Libby represents Maine State Senate District 22, which includes towns in Cumberland , Oxford , and York counties. Born November 14, 1960, he is a four-term state senator and two-term state representative , currently serving his second consecutive term. Notable achievements include running as the first "clean elections" gubernatorial candidate in the U.S. during his 2002 Republican primary bid for Maine governor, authoring books like Super U: The History and Politics of the University of Maine System, and appointments to statewide boards by governors of all parties, such as trustee for the Maine Community College System and tripartite chair of the Maine Labor Relations Board. He resides in Standish with his wife Jennifer, daughter Grace, and son Brett.
