Biography
James "Jim" Gruber is a Democratic state representative serving Cheshire District 16 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since 2024. A resident of Alstead, New Hampshire since 1978, he is married with two children and lives at 227 MacLean Rd., Alstead, NH. Previously a professor and chair of the Environmental Studies Department at Antioch University New England, he is a recently retired Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: MS in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University; MS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology; MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government; PhD from University of Zagreb.
- Political Experience: Elected as a Democratic representative for Cheshire 16 in 2024, where he represents constituent interests, votes on legislation, serves on relevant committees, and advocates for community resources.
