Biography
Jil Tracy is a Republican member of the Illinois State Senate, representing the 50th District since her election in November 2022. She serves as Senate Republican Caucus Whip, a leadership role she was appointed to on January 11, guiding legislation and policy with the Republican team. Notable achievements include serving on the Rod Blagojevich impeachment committee and the joint Legislative Ethics Committee during her House tenure, as well as current roles as Spokesperson for the Judiciary Committee and member of Labor, Executive, Higher Education, Appropriations , and Veterans Affairs committees. She also sits on the Legislative Ethics Commission and boards for John Wood Community College Foundation and WQEC/PBS. Tracy resides in Quincy, Illinois, with her husband Jim; they have four grown children and nine grandchildren.
