Biography
Representative Jessie Rodriguez
Jessie Rodriguez is a Republican representing Wisconsin's 21st Assembly District. She was born on July 5, 1977, in Puerto El Triunfo, El Salvador. During El Salvador's civil war in 1985, she relocated to Massachusetts with her family before eventually settling in Milwaukee in the early 1990s. She currently resides in Oak Creek with her husband, Aaron, and their son, Noah.
Education
Rodriguez is a graduate of Alexander Hamilton High School in Milwaukee and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Spanish from Marquette University . Her educational background in communication and Spanish has informed her work in the legislature, particularly regarding education policy and outreach to her communities.
Political Experience
Rodriguez was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in a special election in November 2013. She has been reelected since 2014 and is currently serving her seventh term in the Wisconsin Legislature.
