Biography
Jesse Gabriel is a Democrat representing California's 46th Assembly District, which covers parts of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties in the San Fernando Valley, including Encino. Born on September 25, 1981, he serves as Chair of the Assembly Budget Committee, overseeing California's state budget and key policy initiatives. Notable achievements include authoring over 50 laws, such as first-in-the-nation measures like the California Food Safety Act, Real Food, Healthy Kids Act, California Victims of Crime Act, and Gun Violence Prevention & School Safety Act, influencing federal policy and laws in over 30 states; he is recognized as a “California Influencer” by The Sacramento Bee and Co-Chair of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, leading efforts against antisemitism and hate crimes. He is married to affordable housing attorney Rachel Rosner, with three sons: Ethan, Joshua, and Noah.
