Jeremy Scott McPike represents Virginia's 29th Senate District, which includes parts of Prince William County. Born on September 19, 1975, in Washington, D.C., and raised in Prince William County, he has served in the Virginia State Senate since 2016. He is married to Sharon L. McPike, with whom he resides in Dale City along with their children, and is a Catholic affiliated with Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A longtime public servant, McPike is a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department, where he holds the rank of Assistant Chief and Life Membership. Notable achievements include championing gun safety legislation, such as authoring laws to eliminate online concealed carry permit courses, preventing gun violence in public places, and supporting universal background checks and a statewide extreme risk law.
