Jeremy Askew Gray is a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives representing District 83 . A retired professional football player, fitness instructor, entrepreneur, and community leader, he assumed office on November 7, 2018, after winning election with 63% of the vote. Notable achievements include serving as Minority Whip, Co-Chair of the Alabama Future Caucus, and appointments by Governor Kay Ivey to the Alabama Statewide Health Coordinating Council and Innovate Alabama. He sponsored landmark 2021 legislation lifting the 28-year ban on yoga in Alabama K-12 public schools and creating a state matching fund for Small Business Innovation Research. Gray founded the "EYG" lifestyle brand and Curtis House nonprofit, serves on committees for Commerce and Small Business, Health, Public Safety and Homeland Security, and Lee County Legislation, and ran for U.S. Congress in Alabama's 2nd District in 2024.
