Jeremy Dean

Jeremy Dean is a Democratic State Representative for Missouri's 132nd District, representing parts of Greene County, including his hometown of Springfield. At 27 years old, he brings a fresh, community-rooted perspective to the Missouri House of Representatives, grounded in real-world experience and a deep commitment to serving everyday Missourians.

Born and raised in Springfield, Jeremy was raised in a middle-class, two-parent Christian household in Northwest Springfield. He learned the importance of compassion, hard work, and community at an early age. Before entering politics, he spent years working in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors, beginning his career as a caregiver for people with developmental disabilities. He later advanced to managing operations at family medicine and OB/GYN clinics, where he witnessed firsthand how Capitol policies affect the lives of families across the state. Most recently, he served as an Operations Manager at a local nonprofit focused on uplifting underserved communities.

Jeremy's core values center on fighting for fully funded public schools, standing up for fair pay and strong benefits, and protecting the will of Missouri voters. He is driven by the belief that everyone deserves equal protection under the law, the right to make decisions about their own body, and a government that works for the many rather than the few.

Education

Jeremy Dean graduated from Willard High School in 2015 and later attended the University of Central Missouri, where he became an active member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. His time in college helped shape his passion for community service and advocacy.

Political Experience

Jeremy was elected to his first two-year term in the Missouri House of Representatives in November 2024, officially assuming office on January 8, 2025. His successful campaign defeated Republican opponent Stephanos Freeman by a narrow margin.

He was selected to serve on three House committees: Economic Development, Rules-Legislative Oversight, and General Laws. His legislative work is focused on building an economy that works for working people, championing progressive policies including improving access to education, fostering economic growth, and ensuring equal rights for all Missourians. Prior to his House campaign, Jeremy ran for Springfield city council in 2023, demonstrating his dedication to local governance and community improvement.
