Biography

Jeremie Dufault is a Republican representing Washington's 15th Legislative District in the State House of Representatives. The district spans from Prosser through Zillah, Terrace Heights, Selah, and west Yakima in the Yakima Valley. Born and raised in Yakima, where his family has farmed for nearly 100 years, he lives in Selah with his three daughters, Ellie, Lulu, and Addy. A real estate developer and Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corps, he served in Kuwait and Afghanistan. Notable achievements include saving the Yakima Valley School, blocking tax increases, creating the Purple Heart License plate program, expanding housing and medical services for homeless veterans, and sponsoring mental health care expansion in Yakima County; he was named one of the most conservative House members by the national Conservative Political Action Committee. He previously served on the Selah City Council, as chairman of the Yakima Veterans Board and Yakima Valley Technical Skill Center General Advisory Council, vice chairman of the Yakima County Republican Central Committee, and on the Yakima County Economic Development Board; he is a member of American Legion Selah Post 88 and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
