Biography
Jennifer Glover Konfrst is a Democratic state representative in Iowa, serving District 32 since her first election in 2018. She resides in Windsor Heights with her husband, Lee, and their two children . A mom, educator, and associate professor of public relations at Drake University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, she previously led communications strategy for Iowa Public Television. Notable achievements include serving as Iowa House Minority Leader from 2021 to 2025—the first woman in that role—and earlier as assistant minority leader and minority whip . She champions lowering healthcare costs, raising wages, protecting reproductive freedom, and strengthening public schools. In 2022, she won re-election against Republican Mark Brown; she ran for Iowa's 3rd Congressional District in 2025 but suspended her campaign in January 2026.
