Biography
Jenna Persons-Mulicka
Representative Jenna Persons-Mulicka is a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, serving District 78 in Lee County, which includes Fort Myers. She was first elected in 2020 and has been reelected subsequently, with her current term extending through 2028.
Jenna Dianne Persons-Mulicka was born on February 18, 1983, in Naples, Florida, and is a sixth-generation Lee County resident. She graduated from Fort Myers High School and attended Evangel University on a tennis scholarship, where she was named the Communication Department's Outstanding Graduate.
After law school, she returned to Southwest Florida to establish her legal career. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008 and has built a law practice focused on community dedication and understanding of local and state government. She is married to David Mulicka and has two children, Charlie and Hunter.
Prior to her election to the state legislature, Persons-Mulicka was a candidate for Mayor of the City of Fort Myers. She has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star and was featured in Gulfshore Life magazine as one of Southwest Florida's young professional impact players. She was named to the 40 under 40 list by both Gulfshore Business and the Business Observer.
Education
Persons-Mulicka earned a BA in Journalism and a BA in Government from Evangel University in 2004 and 2005, respectively. She earned her *Juris Doctor * from The George Washington University School of Law in 2008, where she chaired the university's chapter of the Republican National Lawyers Association.
Political Experience
Persons-Mulicka has held leadership positions in various civic and political organizations. She served on the Lee County Bar Association's executive committee and co-chairs its history committee. She is a member of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, the Lee County Republican Executive Committee, and the National Republican Lawyers Association.
During her tenure in the Florida House, she has received several awards, including the Fort Myers Housing Authority Community Impact Award, the Autism Acceptance Awards 2022 Champion of the Year Award, and the Woman of Distinction Elected/Governments Leader Award. Prior to her election, she coordinated volunteer efforts for the District's Republican Party and managed a Missouri state representative's campaign.
