Jena Powell is a Republican who represents Ohio's 80th House District, encompassing Miami County and portions of Darke County. Born in Darke County to a multi-generational farming family, she grew up in rural Arcanum, Ohio, as one of seven children. She resides in Arcanum with her husband . At age 25, she became one of the youngest Republicans serving in a state legislature and the youngest member of the Ohio General Assembly upon her 2018 election. Notable achievements include being named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in Law & Policy in 2019. She co-owns Huntington Outdoor, an outdoor marketing company with about 600 billboards statewide, alongside her brother. Powell focuses on reducing government regulations, promoting good jobs, workforce apprenticeships, and keeping young Ohioans in rural communities.
