Jeffrey A. Thompson is a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 28 since 1998. He is currently the Chair of the House Committee on Ways and Means and serves on the House Education Committee.

Education

Jeffrey Thompson graduated from North Salem High School and earned a B.S. in Physics from Purdue University in 1978.

Political Experience

Thompson has held the following positions throughout his career:

• Indiana House of Representatives — representing District 28 for over 25 years
• Chair, House Committee on Ways and Means — leads the committee responsible for fiscal policy
• Member, House Education Committee — participates in education policy decisions
• Indiana State Fair Board — served as a member
• President, Indiana State Fair Board — led the board during his tenure

Outside of government, Thompson serves as Vice Chair of the Board at North Salem State Bank , where he has maintained a long-standing business role in his community.
