Biography
Jeff Stephens is a Republican delegate representing District 6 in the West Virginia House of Delegates. A lifelong resident of Marshall County, he was appointed to the seat in October 2023 by Gov. Jim Justice to replace Del. Charlie Reynolds. Stephens is a teacher at Sherrard Middle School, athletic director, and coach for girls basketball and football. He is also a small business owner. Notable achievements include introducing Laken's Law, an educational tool addressing the drug crisis that passed unanimously; voting to cut taxes on Social Security for seniors; sponsoring bills on teacher pay raises and court penalties; protecting women's sports; advocating for small businesses, tough-on-crime policies, immigration enforcement, and 2nd Amendment rights ; and receiving an honorary Golden Horseshoe for producing 13 winners in West Virginia studies classes.
