Biography

Jeffrey N. Roy is a Democratic state representative for the 10th Norfolk District in Massachusetts, which includes all of Franklin and precincts 2, 3, and 4 of Medway. First elected in 2012, he has served continuously since 2013, representing residents of Franklin and Medway. Notable achievements include chairing the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities & Energy , where he oversaw major climate and energy legislation; serving as Second Division Chair since February 2025; House Chair of the Manufacturing Caucus; prior roles as Chair of the Joint Committee on Higher Education and Acting Chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Finance; drafting the Genocide Education Act; and local leadership such as Franklin Town Council , School Committee chair for 9 of 10 years, and co-chair of Franklin’s Anti-Bullying Task Force.
