Biography
Jeff Myers
Jeff Myers is a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives representing District 42, which encompasses all of Warren County and a portion of Montgomery County. He is a lifelong Missourian who resides in Warrenton with his wife of 30 years, Julie, and their two adult children.
Myers is a former Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper with almost 30 years of service, during which he served as vice president of the Missouri State Trooper Association for the majority of his tenure. In addition to his legislative work, he owns two local businesses: a firearms training company and a garage door installation company.
Myers is active in his faith and volunteers with various charitable organizations, including Calvary Orphan Outreach and Greater Love Ministries, which serve orphaned children in Uganda. He also coordinates Financial Peace University through Calvary Chapel in Troy.
Education
Myers is a 1987 graduate of Warren County R-III. He earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Central Methodist College in 1993.
Political Experience
Myers was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in November 2022 and assumed office on January 4, 2023, succeeding Jeff Porter. He currently serves as Chairman of the Crime and Public Safety Committee for the House and is a member of the Utilities Committee and the Joint Committee on the Justice System.
During the 2025 legislative session, Myers sponsored and helped pass HB 225, which made changes to mutual aid agreements for first responder agencies and extended line of duty death benefits for families of first responders. He was also instrumental in efforts to fully fund the state's education formula at a record amount for Missouri schools.
