Jeff Magrum is a Republican state senator representing District 8 in North Dakota, based in Hazelton. He has served in the Senate since 2023, following terms in the House from 2017 to 2022. A self-employed businessman and rancher, he holds licenses as a Master Plumber, pump and pitless unit contractor, and ND Class A contractor. Previously, he served as Mayor of Hazelton, Emmons County Commissioner , and on the Emmons County Social Service Board. He is married to Donna , with 2 children and 3 grandchildren, and is involved in the Beaver Valley Horse Club, Voices for Lake Oahe, and Emmons County Farm Bureau. Notable achievements include sponsoring bills for veterans , Constitutional Carry for Second Amendment rights, the Food Freedom Act for cottage food producers, and legislation against misrepresenting "meat" in non-meat products. He is part of the legislative coalition to end property taxes.
