Biography
Jeff Golden is a Democratic State Senator representing District 3 in Oregon, which includes areas such as Ashland, Medford, Phoenix, Talent, Jacksonville, Ruch, and the Applegate Valley. Born on April 24, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, he resides in North Ashland with his wife Sarah Collard, a human and social services administrator, and their two children, Daniel and Sarah. Elected to the Oregon State Senate in November 2018, he has served since 2019 and ran for re-election in 2022. Notable achievements include chairing the Natural Resources and Wildlife Recovery Committee, co-chairing the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Transportation and Economic Development, and serving on committees like Energy and Environment, Finance and Revenue, and Rules. He authored the book Watermelon Summer , chronicling his early experiences in Oregon.
