Biography
Jefferson L. Ghrist is a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 36 since January 14, 2015. He is the first state delegate from Caroline County since 1994 and currently serves as minority parliamentarian and co-chair of the Rural Caucus . Previously, he was on the Caroline County Board of Commissioners , serving as president and vice president . Notable roles include deputy minority whip and long-term service on the Appropriations Committee , plus the Rules and Executive Nominations Committee. He works as a real estate agent, was formerly an assistant store manager at The Home Depot, and is married with two children.
