Jeff Gallahan

Jeff L. Gallahan was born on June 4, 1959, and is a lifelong resident of Ontario County, New York. He is a member of the New York State Assembly representing the 131st district, which comprises portions of Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Broome, and Chenango counties.

Gallahan is married to Lynn and has been with her for 45 years. They have two children who grew up in the local community and three grandsons. He is known for his commitment to middle-class values, small businesses, and the agricultural community.

Political Experience

Gallahan was elected to the New York State Assembly on November 3, 2020, and assumed office on January 6, 2021. He represents the Republican and Conservative parties in the 131st district.

Prior to his election to the Assembly, Gallahan served in local government as a town councilman for 4 years and Manchester Town Supervisor for 11 years. As an Assemblyman, he focuses on holding the line on taxes, addressing public safety concerns, ending bail reform measures, and making New York more affordable for residents and businesses.

Professional Background and Community Involvement

Before entering electoral politics, Gallahan worked as a journeyman machinist at the General Railway Signal Company. He later transitioned to cutting tool sales with various manufacturers and advanced into management roles.

In 2017, Gallahan and his wife Lynn founded CR7 Food Trailer and Catering, a small business serving Manchester and surrounding communities. Through this venture, they support various charitable causes including the Boy Scouts of America and the Shortsville American Legion.

Gallahan is the founder of the Red Jacket High School trap shooting team, where he teaches local youth about firearms safety. He volunteers with the Sons of the American Legion, Clifton Springs Area YMCA, and local sportsman clubs, and is a supporter of law enforcement initiatives.
