Biography
Jed Lipsky is an Independent representative for Vermont House District Lamoille-1 , serving since 2023 in his second term. Born and raised in rural Berkshire County, Western Massachusetts, he was a competitive Alpine skier who spent winters in Stowe, Vermont, with the Mount Mansfield Ski Club. After college, he moved to Vermont, working as a logger, serving as Winhall's first planning board chair and zoning administrative officer, and as Assistant Director of the Conservation Society of Southern Vermont. He later lived in Monterey, Massachusetts, raising his family while serving on the selectboard, planning board, and school board. Returning to Vermont in 1978, he logged in Duxbury before moving to Stowe in 2000, where he served on the Stowe School Board and Stowe Land Trust Board. Lipsky holds Master Logger Certification from the Trust to Conserve Northeast Forests and continues logging. In the House, he serves on the Agriculture, Food Resiliency, and Forestry Committee as Clerk and on the Canvassing Committee.

- Political Experience: Vermont House of Representatives ; extensive local service including planning boards, zoning officer, selectboards, and school boards in Vermont and Massachusetts.
