Jonathan E. "Jed" Arnold is a Republican who served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing District 46 . Born in 1979 in Abingdon, Virginia, he is a Caucasian male, Presbyterian, married to Melanie S. Arnold, with three children: Hudson, Delaney, and Jack. An attorney by profession, Arnold was elected in an August 2023 special election to District 6 and later represented District 46 , Smyth, and Wythe. He announced in March 2025 that he would not seek re-election to focus on supporting his wife through her battle with long COVID.
