Biography
Wallace H. "Jay" Jordan, Jr. is a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 63 in Florence County, which includes sections of downtown Florence and western suburbs. Born on February 6, 1980, in Florence, South Carolina, he is an attorney with his own practice in Florence, handling cases throughout the Pee Dee region. He has served in the House since 2015 and currently chairs the House Ethics Committee and serves as First Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee. Notable prior roles include Chairman of the Florence County Election Commission and Voter Registration Board , member of the City of Florence Planning Commission , and board member of Family Promise of the Pee Dee . He ran unsuccessfully for a state Senate seat in 2021 and for U.S. House District 7 in 2012. Jordan is married to Tara, with three children , and is active as a deacon, Sunday school teacher at Florence Baptist Temple, and youth sports coach.
