Biography
Jay DeBoyer is a Republican representing Michigan's 63rd House District, which encompasses southern St. Clair County and northern Macomb County. Born on May 30 in Macomb County, he is married with two children and resides in Clay. A small business owner specializing in engineered lumber since 1994, DeBoyer has a strong community focus, including coaching, sports boosters, and service on the Bluewater Hospice Board of Directors from 2012 to 2018. He is an avid hunter, fisher, and boatsman, and identifies as Christian.
First elected in November 2022 and reelected on November 5, 2024, he is currently in his second term , serving as Associate Speaker Pro Tempore. In this role, he helps preside over House proceedings, moderates debate, rules on procedure, and announces vote results. He advocates for lowering taxes, reducing cost-of-living burdens, improving government efficiency, and protecting election integrity.
