F. Jay Barrows is a Republican politician from Massachusetts who served in the state legislature representing the 1st Bristol district, which encompasses Foxborough and portions of Mansfield Center and Norton Center. Born on April 5, 1956, Barrows represented this district from 2007 to 2025, establishing himself as a long-serving member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives with a consistent electoral record.

Political Experience

Barrows first entered electoral politics in 2006 and maintained a perfect electoral record, winning all 19 contests he entered—9 general elections and 10 primary elections. During his legislative tenure, he served on numerous House committees, including ethics, personnel and administration, financial services, revenue, and healthcare financing. He also held the position of Third Assistant Republican Leader from 2021 to 2024, demonstrating leadership within the Republican caucus.
