Biography

Javier Martínez is a Democratic representative for District 11 in the New Mexico House of Representatives, covering Bernalillo County and Albuquerque. He has served since 2015 and is the current Speaker of the House since 2023, as well as former Majority Leader. Notable achievements include advocating for generous tax credits for working families, community organizing, and breaking barriers as the first in his immigrant family to graduate college.
