Javier I. Martinez is from Las Cruces, New Mexico. He earned his B.B.A. in accounting from New Mexico State University in 1993. Martinez worked on tax planning, multi-state taxation, oil and gas taxation, and financial consulting issues. He was appointed to the New Mexico Economic Development Commission in 2001. Martinez served as Vice Chair of the New Mexico State Taxation and Revenue Department Tax Advisory Committee from 2004 to 2008. He represents District 33 in the New Mexico House, first elected in 2012.read less
