Jason Thompson

Jason E. Thompson is a Republican representing District 3 in the Utah House of Representatives, which encompasses Cache County. He began his legislative service on January 1, 2025.

Thompson is a long-time Cache Valley resident and serves as the Mayor of River Heights, Utah. He is married to Dana and is a proud parent of six children, including two sets of twins.

Education

Thompson holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Brigham Young University, which he earned in 2006. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Public Administration degree from Brigham Young University in 2010.

Political Experience and Notable Achievements

Before his election to the state legislature, Thompson built a successful career in entrepreneurship and business development. He began as an entrepreneur during his college years, operating a used and rare book business. Following the completion of his master's degree, he was instrumental in helping to start and grow Fox Pest Control, a company headquartered in Logan, Utah. Under his leadership and dedication, Fox Pest Control grew to become the 14th largest pest control company in the nation. During his tenure at Fox, Thompson was instrumental in creating nearly 2,000 jobs, with hundreds of these positions located in Cache Valley.

His public service experience includes his role as Mayor of River Heights before transitioning to the state legislature, where he continues to focus on serving his constituents in the House of Representatives.
