Jason Rarick is a Republican member of the Minnesota Senate, representing District 11 in east-central Minnesota, which includes communities in Carlton, Kanabec, Pine, Chisago, and St. Louis counties. A lifelong resident of Pine County raised in Pine City, he has been active in his community for nearly 35 years as a religious education instructor, youth athletics coach, school board member, and current Trustee at St. Joseph’s Church in Beroun. Notable positions include advocating for cleaner, cheaper, and more reliable energy, decreasing tax burdens on working families, defending labor, protecting life, and increasing penalties for repeat drunk drivers. He was re-elected to the Senate in 2020 and 2022, currently serving his third term.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from Pine City High School in 1988; earned an Associate of Applied Science in Electrical from Dunwoody College of Technology in 1990.
• Professional Background: Joined St. Paul Electrical Union in 1992, served on union committees including apprenticeship; completed apprenticeship in 1996 and became a Master Electrician in 1997; founded Rarick Electric as a self-employed electrical contractor in 2004.
• Political Experience: Elected to Minnesota House of Representatives in 2014, defeating incumbent Tim Faust ; re-elected 2016 and 2018; served 2015-2019 on committees including Agriculture Policy, Capital Investment, and Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance. Elected to Minnesota Senate in special election February 5, 2019; current committee roles include Education Finance and Energy, Utilities. Member of Knights of Columbus for over 30 years.
