Biography
Jason Morgan is a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the 23rd District since 2023. This district includes Ann Arbor, South Lyon, Superior Township, Salem Township, and parts of Plymouth, Northville, Lyon, and Ann Arbor Townships. Born on July 14, 1989, in West Branch, he grew up in a small Northern Michigan town as the first in his family to graduate college, with his father as a commercial fisherman and mother as a school lunch aide. He lives in Ann Arbor with his husband, Jon, and their cats, Doug and Joey. Notable achievements include serving as Washtenaw County's first LGBTQ chair of the Board of Commissioners during his six years there, founding and co-chairing the bipartisan Public Transit Caucus, and current roles on the Appropriations Committee . He is also a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary service member , Northern Michigan University Trustee , and involved in organizations like Ann Arbor SPARK, Huron River Watershed Council, and Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission.
