Biography
Jason C. Gallion is a Republican Maryland State Senator representing District 35 . Born February 10, 1977, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, he is a farmer and family man married with four children. He owns and operates Hopewell Farm in Level, Maryland , and serves as an Agricultural Specialist for Harford County since 2016. A man of faith and active in public service, he has deep ties to agriculture, volunteer firefighting , and local boards including the Harford County Farm Bureau and Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church. First elected to the Maryland Senate in 2018, he took office on January 9, 2019, and serves on the Education, Energy, and the Environment Committee, including its Energy Subcommittee. Notable positions include the Harry R. Hughes Center for Agro-Ecology Board of Directors , Nutrient Management Advisory Committee , and Port of Deposit State Historical Park Stakeholder Advisory Committee .
