Biography
Jason Edward Doucette is a Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives representing the 13th District, which includes parts of Manchester and Glastonbury in Hartford County. He has served since January 9, 2019, after defeating Republican Mark Tweedie, and was reelected in 2020, 2022, and 2024. A third-generation Manchester resident and attorney with Gagliardi Doucette, he is married to Heather with two sons. Notable achievements include serving as Co-Chair of the Banking Committee, and membership on the Environment, Finance, Revenue and Bonding, and Judiciary Committees. He has a record of passing legislation on utility reforms, defending reproductive rights, and securing funding for his district.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis; J.D. from University of Connecticut School of Law.
- Political Experience: Prior to the House, served on Manchester Board of Directors , Workforce Development Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, School Modernization and Revitalization Committee, and Redevelopment Agency. Law clerk intern for the House Majority Leader while in law school. Elected to state House in 2018 with 59% of the vote, reelected in 2020 , and subsequent terms; term ends January 2027.
