Biography
Jason Anavitarte resides in Dallas, Georgia, in Paulding County with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughters, Taylor, Madison, and Kennedy. He attends Burnt Hickory Baptist Church. Professionally, Anavitarte has worked as a businessman in the private sector and healthcare industry for nearly 20 years. His career focus includes developing solutions to help lift families out of poverty through employment, skills gap training, and life skills development.
His community service includes serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Chattahoochee Technical College, the largest technical college in Georgia. In 2016, he was appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of the Paulding Judicial Circuit Drug Court Program. He has also served as a board member for Fellowship for Christian Athletes, Paulding Public Safety Appreciation, Inc., Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Child Advocacy Centers of Georgia. In 2018, he was selected to join the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network.
Anavitarte has received several awards for his leadership and service. In 2018, he was named one of the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia. In 2011, Georgia Trend Magazine named him one of the top 40 Under 40 Leaders in Georgia. In 2005, he received the Ivan Allen Jr. Legacy Award and the Public Service Award from the School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech.
Education
Anavitarte earned a B.A. from Georgia State University. He holds an M.S. from Georgia Tech with studies in public policy, regional economic development, and IT/Telecommunications policy.
