Biography

Jasmine Crockett is a Democratic U.S. Representative for Texas's 30th Congressional District, which covers parts of Dallas and Tarrant counties. Born on March 29, 1981, in St. Louis, Missouri, she is an outspoken civil rights advocate and attorney known for criticizing figures like Donald Trump and leading efforts against restrictive voting laws. Notable achievements include serving as Freshman Leadership Representative in Congress, Vice Ranking Member of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight, and co-chair of the Democratic Women's Caucus Communications Task Force; she also co-founded the Texas Progressive Caucus and Texas Caucus on Climate, Energy, and the Environment, filed more bills than any other Texas House freshman, and earned Freshman Lawmaker of the Year from the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.
