Biography
Jane Weber
Political Party: Democratic
District: Montana House District 19
Jane Weber moved to Montana from Pennsylvania in 1975 and married a third-generation Montanan. She raised three children in Great Falls and has been deeply involved in her community through various roles spanning environmental conservation, public administration, and community service.
Weber worked for the Forest Service for 31 years, gaining firsthand experience with how wildfires impact rural communities and private property. She was instrumental in developing the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls, where she created programming and public-private partnerships while managing the center for ten years.
Education
Weber holds two bachelor's degrees from the University of Montana and Clemson University:
- Bachelor of Science in Art Education
- Bachelor of Science in Forest Science
She also completed post-graduate studies in Outdoor Recreation.
Political Experience
Cascade County Commissioner : Weber served ten years as a county commissioner, where she prepared county budgets, developed policies, and gained experience in local government operations.
Legislative Service: Weber was elected to the Montana House of Representatives in 2024, defeating Republican Hannah Trebas with 54.61% of the vote. She was assigned to the House Taxation Committee and House Human Services Committee during the 2025 legislative session.
Community Board Involvement: Weber has served on numerous nonprofit and government boards, including the Black Eagle Superfund Cleanup committee, Mental Health Local Advisory Council, City-County Library Board, City-County Board of Health, and the State Workforce Innovation Board .
